Social Media Marketing Intern - summer 2012
SUMMARY OF POSITION
Warner Bros. Worldwide Television Marketing is seeking an Intern to work with the Social Media Marketing department for the Summer of 2012. This position presents a learning opportunity for a college student to engage in hands-on experience primarily focused in Social Media marketing.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Weekly research of fan sites including blogs, Pinterest, Twitter, Google , etc.
Prepare program recaps.
Implement and manage weekly postings, comments, original content and more. Organize and prepare data from past and current campaigns for use in analysis and benchmarking.
Identify new areas for viral marketing as well as develop/maintain relationship with active bloggers and social media site/page owners.
Assist with internal Facebook content analyses.
Assist in vetting Comic-Con related press detected via our monitoring services.
Draft a monthly article about social media, tech, and trends that will appear in an internal newsletter.
Build and maintain a fan site of choice (Tumblr, Pinterest, blog) revolving around personal favorite WB show.
Assist with development and brainstorming for WB involvement in new social media platforms.
Assist in building awareness for upcoming TV season with pilot campaigns through social media platforms.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Must be currently enrolled in a college or university.
Prior internship for a digital media company in a marketing support role; Advertising Agency internship or experience (in digital media) a plus.
Web Skills - HTML; embed player distribution; photo and video posting and creation (imovie/final cut); email newsletter program management and active member of social media and newsfeed sites.
Web trends, entertainment blogs specific to TV and WB destination genres, and social media platforms beyond MySpace and Facebook.
Knowledge and hands on experience managing and downloading from FTP sites.
Good communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills - both verbal and written.
Strong attention to detail is required.
Experience in a support role for the execution team on large projects, some marketing and online media support experience.
Excellent organizational skills.
Ability to balance, multi-task and prioritize requests and still meet deadlines.
Keen interest in digital marketing.
Active Facebook profile, interest in gaming sites.
Must be able to consistently come into work early and/or stay late.
Must be able to travel and excel in working live events or events not in a traditional office environment.
Must be able to maintain a positive disposition in a fast-paced environment and during demanding times.
Must be detail-oriented.
Must have good judgment.
Must be able and willing to take initiative and to problem solve as appropriate within the scope of responsibilities of this position.
