We are currently seeking a Senior Analyst for the Warner Bros. Television Group Finance department. This position maintains all aspects of overhead for the Television Group which includes budgets, financial reporting, research and variance analysis. It also maintains general ledger and activities for Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures.
The ideal candidate will be tasked with the following responsibilities:
• Position prepares and reviews annual departmental overhead budgets on a quarterly basis for 9 operational units, which include approximately 600 people.
• Performs detailed general ledger account analysis and review of overhead as required.
• Assists with the preparation of monthly & quarterly consolidated financial package for Television Production divisions including variance analysis for overhead comparing actual spend versus budget.
• Maintains general ledger and budgets for Theatre Ventures division.
• Researches questions regarding overhead expenses.
• Prepares profitability analysis for the Theatre Ventures live stage shows.
• Monitors and analyzes Producer Term Deals and Development accounts and details out term deals on a quarterly basis comparing actual spend versus budget.
• Prepares quarterly Commitment and Contingency reports for footnotes.
• Performs clearing of all company suspense accounts on a weekly basis.
• Assists management with special projects and job related duties as assigned.
Desirable candidates will have the following qualifications:
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• BA/BS degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Minimum 5 years accounting experience required.
• Minimum 2 years of overhead budgeting experience preferred.
• Experience with Variance Analysis preferred.
• Must have strong spreadsheet skills (Excel).
• SAP experience highly preferred.
• Must have thorough knowledge of accounting principles.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including overtime, if and when necessary.
