Job Description:
We are a brand new, multi-media entertainment company looking for bright, personable, highly capable interns to help build our brand and make it great! Headed by a 30 year veteran of the entertainment business, our company will focus on branded entertainment, scripted and non-scripted television, internet platforms and more. We need candidates with impressive reading and writing skills, research capabilities, and above all, interest in the entertainment business. This is a non-paying part-time internship, but we will offer college credit and an opportunity to have a full, hands-on learning experience. Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
-Develop and fully flush-out three new show ideas in deck form with talent attached.
-Set up Talent Skypes and or any additional information pre-approved by team.
-Initiate contact with potential new non-celebrity talent.
-Attend weekly Development meetings.
-Have two show ideas ready to present in each meeting. Doesn't need to be flushed out just an idea from an article or a story.
-Participate in brand integration brainstorms
-Provide Development Executive with research support
-Attend meetings as directed and delivering thorough typed notes to team.
-Review incoming pitches.
-Create end of day digest monitoring entertainment news from websites prone to Bungalow / non-scripted- Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, Deadline & Real Screen with top daily stories, executive moves, show acquisitions, major announcements, and new companies in entertainment. No casting reports or box office information needed.
-Assist in developing presentation/pitch decks
-Brand research
-Participate in brand meetings both internally & externally
-Performs other general administrative/project management duties as assigned
