Reporting to the Group Sales Manager this position will provide support to the busy Group Sales Department and its staff. Duties will include answering a heavy volume of incoming phone and email inquiries, creating accounts, fulfilling and invoicing orders and assisting with payment processing and ticket distribution. The Group Sales Assistant will also help with outbound calling and mailing projects, database management, lead research, and other general administrative tasks as needed. This is a part time position, preferred schedule is Monday-Friday 10am-3pm with flexibility.
Responsibilities
• Answer/respond to incoming phone and email inquiries and assist with outbound phone calls
• Assist with staffing special events sometimes out of regular business hours
• Customer order processing including creating accounts, booking reservations, invoicing, processing payments, ticket fulfillment and payment tracking
• Assist with database management and lead research and outbound direct mail/email and calling projects
• Additional administrative duties to be assigned as necessary
Qualifications
• H.S. Diploma/ some college preferred
• Proficiency in MS Office including Outlook, Word and Excel required. Ability to learn a complex ticketing system with training provided.
• Must have superior customer service and organizational skills, outgoing personality and pleasant phone manner, and the ability to operate under minimal supervision on day to day tasks.
• Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced team-orientated environment and remain calm under pressure.
• Experience in box office or group sales/ ticketing is preferred but not required.
