Spring Training Internship
Game Day Presentation and Administration
The Boston Red Sox are looking for two individuals who will be responsible for running the Game Day Presentations and Administration roles for Spring Training. These positions are instrumental and designed to help the individuals learn the development, coordination and implementation of all aspects of Spring Training at JetBlue Park.
Examples of Responsibilities and Expectations:
GAME DAY PRESENTATION
• Coordination and scheduling of all:
o National Anthem Singers
o Ceremonial First Pitch
o Honorary Bat Boys/Girls
• Creation of day of game scripts
• Oversee the execution of pregame ceremonies and game day presentation
• Coordination and scheduling of all JetBlue Community Corner participants
• Execution of all Charitable Giving efforts and Week of Service
• Coordination and scheduling of all Fenway South Drive entertainment
• Execution of all in game promotions and giveaways
• Coordination and planning of our Spring Training Open House and Staff Orientation
• Assist in set up and break down of all events held at JetBlue Park including: Spring Training games, Open House, Fenway South Farmer’s Market, concerts, car shows, and many other events.
ADMINISTRATION
• Scheduling of all Green Team Volunteers
• Transportation to and from airports/hotels for Red Sox personnel.
• Assist with all Red Sox personnel in setting up their houses for their Spring Training stay
• Assist with all Rental car needs
• Assisting with all UPS, FedEx, and USPS deliveries
Requirements:
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Ability to multi-task and manage large groups of people
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Baseball knowledge is a must
• College Credit available, if needed for graduation, but not a requirement.
o Must be Junior year or greater to apply
