Are you interested in writing for TV? Do you want to get hands on exposure with writers, producers, and creative execs actively working at the highest levels of the industry? Are you a student or recent graduate looking to build up your career as a professional writer or development executive? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you should apply for a writer fellowship opportunity at BoomGen Studios.
You should have an aptitude for research and structure; have touch-typing skills; be an efficient and organized note taker. You must be in school for, or a recent graduate of, a university program in creative writing or Media/Film Production, Communications, English Literature, Theatre Arts or a related field. You should be looking for practical experience in professional writing and storytelling. And most importantly you should have a great attitude and be ready to play and have fun.
Candidate should be able to write clearly and neatly in block letters and 'work' the white board. You will take notes; do loads of research (research should be your favorite thing); assist in breaking story; participate in transcribing outlines and ideas, and spend time in the writer's room. Write summaries and synopsis. Write coverage. Make copies. Punch holes. Organize. Be in the thick of the things.
