Scheduling Coordinator (Blue Sky Studios)
The scheduling coordinator is responsible for managing the film production schedule, which includes managing asset and sequence inventory flow through all departments and all necessary reporting on an animated feature film. This requires prioritizing work for all departments, forecasting potential production issues and producing production reports for various inter-departmental and production meetings.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
• Organize and manage production schedule for all departments, including daily spreadsheet and project file updates.
• Track and report progress on the overall production schedule, which includes character and set assets, sequences, shots, and frames.
• Create reports based on feedback from production managers to assist and advise on the state of production.
• Calculate and analyze trends based on collected data on actual completion of work by the production floor.
• Help manage the production crew through frequent updates and sequence/asset tracking with department managers.
• Communicate with production management regarding deadlines and goals.
• Ensure that the correct production pipeline processes are being followed according to the master schedule.
Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience Required:
• 3 years of production management and analytical experience.
• Strong computer skills and working knowledge of MS Project, Word and Excel.
• Strong organizational, project management and leadership skills.
• Ability to establish priorities and multi-task efficiently within a high pressure environment while meeting strict deadlines.
• Attention to detail and strong analytical / critical thinking skills are essential.
• Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of management and with diverse personalities and work styles.
• Capable of working independently and as part of a team. High level of initiative, flexibility and confidentiality.
• Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
