Blue Microphones is looking for a full-time Technical Marketing Specialist. Recipient of the ''Inc. 5000 Fastest-Growing Companies Award'' for five years running, Blue is a highly regarded, premium brand in consumer electronics and professional recording products, with a broad lineup of well-established and innovative, high quality offerings at the professional and consumer level. The company will continue its rapid growth, propelled by sales of products in new segments and markets, and a reputation for innovative industrial design, novel features and remarkable quality in a range of product categories.
The Technical Marketing Specialist is a member of the Blue Marketing team. This role will support both the Marketing and Sales teams, providing product insight for both professional and consumer applications for mics and headphones. This role will participate in creation of audio and video content, attend trade shows and events as a spokesperson and demonstrator, and visit key Blue retailers in both the US and international territories to conduct trainings and demos. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, have a great personality, and be confident in front of audiences and a camera.
Key Responsibilities
• Conducting in-house recording sessions
• Creating sound samples
• Provide general studio support
• Create demo presentations (video, Powerpoint, Apple Keynote) to support Sales
• Act as on-camera talent for the purpose of demonstrating products
• Support Channel Marketing efforts (visit key dealers, conduct trainings/demonstrations)
• Occasional international travel to conduct trainings and demonstrations to support key dealers and/or distributors
• Attend trade shows, demo products
* Attend small regional events as a spokesperson/demonstrator
Qualifications and Requirements
• Certificate or degree in audio engineering
• Background in marketing/communications a plus
• Fluency in recording technology, especially microphones and headphones
• Proficiency in Pro Tools
• Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint (or Apple Keynote), and Word
• Proficiency in professional video editor (Final Cut, Media Composer, or Adobe Premiere) is a big plus
• Extremely diligent and organized; ability to multitask and prioritize
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills are essential
All candidates must be responsible, dependable, self-motivated, detail oriented, and be comfortable as a vital team member in a rapidly growing company. Punctuality, accuracy and reliability are musts.
