Sr. Animator/ Motion Designer
The Role
We are seeking a full-time experienced Senior Motion Graphics Designer/Animator. You must have at least 5 years of solid experience working in a professional, client-driven environment, designing and creating motion menus and art work for both DVD & Blu-ray menus, as well as broadcast quality motion graphics and other design requirements for marketing and promotion purposes.
The Person
With a sophisticated, contemporary design sense, you are well versed at concepting, presenting ideas and interacting successfully with clients. Understanding the art of telling a story and conveying a message, by combining motion graphics, video, and music within budgetary and time sensitive parameters, is your forte.
In addition to your capabilities in design and animation, you have leadership qualities that enable you to successfully collaborate with and lead a team of junior and freelance animators. You must be proficient in AfterEffects and Adobe Creative Suite.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Pre-production planning: collaborating with Creative Director and Producers to accurately estimate and manage project budgets and schedules
• Designing and animating sophisticated multi-layered motion graphics
• Designing DVD and Blu-ray menus for a range of film, television and corporate clients
• Understanding and applying current design trends
• Participating in input sessions, presenting your ideas to the production team, and leading creative conversations with clients
• Creating concepts, boards and style frames to clients
• Ability to facilitate brainstorming sessions geared toward specific client solutions
• Leading teams of animators on larger projects and effectively planning your workload
• File management, maintaining system efficiencies, and following established technical specifications
Experience/Skills:
• Degree level education with strong design and animation experience
• Excellent working knowledge of After Effects and Adobe Creative Suite
• Knowledge of file handling within a post production environment
• Must have 5 years operational experience
• Proven experience designing DVD and Blu-ray menus using Photoshop and Adobe After Effects.
• Digitally delivering artwork to replication facilities
