Human Resources Assistant (Blue Sky Studios)
Blue Sky Studios is looking for an enthusiastic Human Resources Assistant to join our team. This role entails providing support and administrative assistance in the consistent and effective application of policies, procedures and practices of the Human Resources department.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• New Hire On Boarding - conducts New Hire Orientation for all new employees. Ensure all paperwork is complete and correct and that the new employee has all the information needed to ensure a smooth transition into their new department.
• Manage Requisition process - ensuring requisitions are open in Peoplesoft, offer letters are created and tracked for return.
• Process employee terminations, employee internal changes and contract changes
• Verify, process and track all relocation checks for new employees and education reimbursement checks.
• Coordinate exit interviews for exiting employee
• Manage quarterly attrition reports and other ad hoc reports
• Update and distribute monthly vacation reports
• Schedule/Calendaring for VP of HR
• Assist with studio events
Qualifications:
• College
degree in a related field and/or a combination of Education and
experience that would be equitable to that level of professionalism,
problem solving and analytical skills
• Familiarity with Microsoft office software: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.
• HR experience either as an intern or professional experience, strongly desired.
Skills, Abilities, Special Licenses or Certificate:
• Strong organizational and time management discipline.
• Operate professionally and effectively in stressful situations.
• Presentation skills as would be required for small semi-formalized meetings such as On-Boarding, or specific skills training
• Ability to multi-task and to adapt to changing departmental needs.
• Ability to relate to and effectively communicate with all levels of employees.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Process oriented, but flexible around business needs.
• Working Conditions and Environment/Physical Demands:
• Office working environment
• Walking/bending/sitting/standing
• Approximately 70% of time spent working on a Computer.
