FALL Internship
Distribution, Film Sales, and Acquisitions Company has an amazing internship opportunity. Forget getting coffee and chicken sandwiches for executives and doing script coverage. We value education and your personal growth toward becoming a successful executive in the film and media industry. Our interns dive headfirst into the business of entertainment.
We are offering an inside look into the entertainment industry that no other internship program can match, and you will get first-hand experience in the fundamentals of Distribution, Acquisitions, Sales, Marketing and the general business of making films. It's not just about creating a great movie; it is also about getting it to an audience to watch the film. Finding distribution and making money for your investors is one of the most important parts of the process, and this requires a thorough understanding of the marketplace. We want to instill in future filmmakers the understanding of the commercial and financial responsibilities that go into making a great film.
You will be expected to learn and work hard, but also have fun. We are here to help you throughout this learning process, so that you will come out of this program with a knowledge and excitement about the entertainment industry that will take you far and wide. The plan is to teach you the backside or end game of independent filmmaking. We will be focusing on the following categories: Distribution, Acquisitions, Sales, Marketing and Film Festivals.
We are considering hardworking, sharp, dedicated, and positive people who are interested in learning the business. The ideal intern will want to work with studio executives, producers, and directors, and wants to learn how to run an office. Must be organized and efficient. There is a lot of opportunity to learn in our offices, and advancement potential for smart and ambitious interns. Interviews will begin immediately, or commensurate with college courses. Internship may be used to receive class credit, and applicants should apply. Schedule can be flexible around school schedule.
Our Internship philosophies:
Attitude is everything - keeping it positive and supportive is a must.
What you put into the program is what you get out of the program.
Have fun ... and ask lots of questions!
