Role Specification:
Role Objective
To work closely with clients and BF music team to administer and coordinate the delivery of superior original and authentic custom made music created on demand, tailored for diverse projects.
Summary of Role Responsibilities:
This includes (but is not limited to) the following areas of responsibility:
-Work with Creative Managers in a fast paced environment to deliver multiple, simultaneous assigned projects within time, scope and budget constraints while maintaining BF's highest quality standard and ensuring client satisfaction
-Monitor and review current and incoming projects to ensure a smooth work flow for the timely and accurate delivery of projects
-Track project status and update database with accurate and up to date cue details for each job
-Track manpower, equipment and third-party composer, musician and vendor costs and support for required for projects
Work with Mastering Engineer to ensure accurate and timely transmission of digital deliverables internally and externally
-Adhere to established digital asset management protocol and ensure all relevant information is correctly archived
-Develop and maintain a working relationship with clients, composers and accounts teams to insure that their needs are being fully supported and serviced
-Communicate with management and stakeholders progress and status of ongoing projects
-Maintain up to date database of staff and work for hire composer specialties, playlists, credits, etc.
-Stay informed of industry news including current programming trends, musical trends and genres, new productions, etc.
Qualifications/ Experience:
Essential
-Prior experience working within the Music Department on film or television productions, particularly with editors, music supervisors or similar
-Must be willing to work around production schedules and deadlines including availability to work nights and weekends
-Superior communication skills with the ability to understand and effectively communicate and translate briefs in musical terms
-Familiarity with many different genres of music, musical score, instrumentation and musical terms and a willingness to listen to and learn unfamiliar works
-Familiarity with the production of recording and electronic media projects
-Initiative and self-starter
-Effective communicator, with strong oral and written skills
-A collaborative and flexible style, with a strong team mentality
-Extraordinary attention to detail
-Working knowledge of Excel, Word, and Sound Cloud
-Familiarity with cue sheets and ASCAP, BMI, SESAC and other PROs
Desirable
-Experience of music production, music composition
-Working knowledge of Soundminer
-Bachelor's degree
