Role Objective
The Director of Business Development is responsible for identifying, vetting, negotiating and closing potential business opportunities with clients requiring superior original and authentic custom made music created on demand, tailored for diverse projects.
This role manages multiple projects simultaneously, typically of a significant strategic nature, and requires superior analytical and deal making abilities along with the ability to communicate the creative needs of the client to senior management and composers.
Summary of Role Responsibilities:
This includes (but is not limited to) the following areas of responsibility:
-Perform strategic analysis of new business opportunities, including conducting research and preparing overviews on markets, market opportunities, potential partners and competitors
-Regularly interact with senior management as well as major customers and key partners to develop and execute Bleeding Fingers' monetization and growth strategy
-Responsible for client direct prospecting, targeting, presenting and coordinating all business development efforts for both existing and first time clients
-Identify, screen, structure and negotiate business opportunities
-Call on new potential accounts, set client visits, educate and inform on our service
-Insides sales follow up duties, mailings, emails and new client initiation
-Discover and cultivate new qualified sales prospects
-Assist in preparation of marketing materials to support sales efforts
-Prepare proposals, quotes and provide information to ultimately win and attain contracts
Qualifications & Experience:
-Demonstrate an irrefutable track record of success for developing client direct business in the Marketplace;
-College degree in Marketing and/ or Business;
-Media & Entertainment industry experience, with existing relationships strongly preferred
-Minimum 5+ years of Business Development with a specific focus on client direct relationships;
-Experience structuring and negotiating complex agreements;
-Must also have experience in successfully managing multi-tiered, internal decision-making process
-Superior communication skills with the ability to understand and effectively communicate and translate briefs in musical terms;
-Familiarity with many different genres of music, musical score, instrumentation and musical terms and a willingness to listen to and learn unfamiliar works;
-Comprehensive understanding of the broadcast TV industry and familiarity with the production of recording and electronic media projects;
-Must be highly organized and able to communicate clearly verbally as well as in writing, including exceptional presentation skills;
-Demonstrated influencing and negotiating skills in a complex organization structure with an ability to achieve consensus and results;
-Ability to effectively communicate with diverse audiences ranging from creative, technical, sales teams, corporate finance to senior -management and editorial producers.
