Studio Operations Manager
Big Ten Network - Chicago
The Big Ten Network is searching for a Studio Operations Manager to join their team. The position is responsible for maintaining the production studio, performing various production functions and scheduling of all staff and freelance employees for Studio and MICR events. Other duties include directing live productions; performing audio functions for live productions; working with Engineering to ensure technical aspects; maintaining communication with remote sites and maintaining the functioning and professional appearance of the studio set.
Responsibilities:
• Schedules/Oversees the scheduling of both staff and freelance employees for Studio and MICR productions
• Supervises the crews for Studio and MICR productions
• Reviews and approves time card and payroll submissions for staff and freelance employees
• Oversees Ticker content and schedules
• Maintains the professional functioning and appearance of the studio set
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
• This position requires a high school diploma or equivalency - Bachelor's degree inRadio/TV is preferred
• A minimum of 5 years' experience in television production/post productionmanagement is necessary, including at least one year experience in television producing, directing and studio integration
• At least three years of experience managing staff and/or freelance workforce
• Great oral and written communication skills are necessary
• Exceptional organizational and project coordination skills are required
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook is necessary
• An overall knowledge of sports and sports broadcasting is preferred
• Knowledge of production equipment is essential.
• The ability to work flexible hours and off site availability is necessary
• A demonstrated ability to multitask and perform well under strict deadlines is required
