Producer Big Ten Network - Chicago
The Big Ten Network in Chicago is searching for a Studio Show Producer. This position produces studio shows, magazine shows, specials and breaking news press conferences. Duties include maintaining fiscal oversight for assigned programs and working with the Senior Producer on show content and presentation. Also, this person will be working with Assignment Manager and Operations to coordinate and setup events and productions.
Responsibilities:
• Produces live shows, pre-game shows, magazine shows, specials and news
• Maintains fiscal oversight for all assigned programs
• Works in conjunction with coordinating producers and Senior Producer Studio & Original Programming on show content and presentation
• Works with assignment desk and operations to coordinate and to set up events and productions
• Assists in developing less experienced staff and freelance employees
• Schedules and participate in meetings and conference calls related to events, as required
• Maintains office hours as necessary

• This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Communications, Broadcasting, Radio/TV/Film, or equivalent work experience
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in live studio show line producing and post show producing required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are needed
• Good organizational and project management skills are necessary
• A demonstrated ability work without supervision in a high pressure environment is essential
• Must be able to adapt to changes easily, allow for flexibility with the schedule, and have strong attention to detail
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook is necessary. Knowledge of INEWS is helpful, but not required
• The ability to operate video cameras, videotape decks, Beta SP, DVC Pro, and both linear and non-linear editing equipment is necessary
• Previous supervisory and leadership skills are required
