Search for Marketing & Promotions Assistant - Film Department jobs in New York-NY
Big Honcho Media is seeking a Marketing and Promotions Assistant to support our digital team on film campaigns. The Assistant will be responsible for performing administrative duties. This position requires superior verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and organizational skills. Ideal candidate must have a genuine interest in entertainment, with a focus on film.
He/she will work with our Film project manager on day-to-day marketing needs and will support the team's various marketing tasks and promotional activities.
Candidate will be involved in activities such as the development of promotional materials and social media content, managing RSVP lists to events and screenings, updating databases, budget and tracking, analysis and reporting, and responding to general tasks as needed.
Key Responsibilities Include:
*Assist two project leads.
*Daily project management on digital campaigns for our film clients.
*Prepare copy for pitches & outreaches Interact with bloggers, Influencers, editors, and clients as needed.
*Tracking and compiling all coverage, engagements, and stats on daily/weekly basis.
*Assist in planning & managing specialty projects such as sponsored posts, sweepstakes, and press mailers.
*Creating and maintain client reports, digital press kits
*Research niche and genre blogs, websites
*Maintain and update contact lists/databases, budgets Manage prizing fulfillment & press mailers
*Have a deep interest and understanding of changes in communications including social media & technology. Keeping your pulse on what's next in the industry which includes staying on top of trends, industry news, and conferences/networking events.
Must have a working knowledge of all social media and be familiar with multiple social Influencers and web outlets.
He/she will be able to work in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment and possess the ability to balance a variety of responsibilities and handle many projects simultaneously, efficiently, and accurately.
Requirements:
*Bachelor's Degree
*Minimum of 1-2 years experience in the film industry, preferably Marketing or Publicity
*Candidate must demonstrate initiative, creative problem-solving, analytical and organizational skills.
*Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) necessary.
*Proficiency in Microsoft Office a must, experience with design software a plus. BA/BS required.
