The Inventory Control Specialist is a creative problem solver responsible for the purchasing needs for the Company including buying equipment, materials, parts and supplies; accurately tracking and documenting stock inventory; data manipulation and reporting; transferring equipment in/out of the department; oversee returns/damages and issuance of credits; oversee all aspects of stock and consignment equipment.
Purchasing:
• Source item pricing and availability for quotes/bids.
• Process sales and EBay orders. Manage and track the various types of shipping options to ensure prompt delivery to clients. Import/Export experience is preferred.
• Create product templates for all new equipment and process sold equipment.
• Purchase bill of materials from various vendors, manage the costs and process sales of finished goods.
• Prepare purchase orders, confirm shipments with suppliers, follow-up on tracking and status of backorders.
• Work to resolve any returns/damage orders.
• Execute transfers in and out of the department.
• Update vendor price lists and ensure best pricing from vendors by cultivating vendor relationships.
• Ensure the details of purchase transactions are carried out and communicated in a timely fashion.
• Provide back-up purchasing support to internal departments as needed.
Inventory:
• Perform inventory cycle/physical counts for both serial and non-serial equipment.
• Reconcile inventory counts for non-serial equipment and work with accounting to ensure qty/costs are correct.
• Ensure the accuracy of asset status by updating regularly.
• Provide back-up inventory support to internal departments as needed.
Asset Analysis:
• Interact with various levels of management and provide support on data projects.
• Ability and desire to attack and manipulate large sets of data.
• Provide clear report findings that allow management to accurately analyze and communicate results.
