This position will be responsible for directing a wide range of accounting functions related to Betfair US / TVG's Casino, Exchange and Account Wagering businesses to include management, reconciliation and settlement of individual and cumulative customer accounts, IRS reporting, receipt and disbursement of customer funds, development of and completion of periodic reports and internal control procedures. Incumbent will be responsible for managing and reconciling cash, ACH, credit/debit card, lockbox, eWallet, wire transfer deposit and withdrawal functions as well as directing the company's loss prevention, collections and reconciliation/settlement procedures. Individual must be capable of functioning independently, managing others and working with other team members.
Essential Functions:
-Directing Betfair US / TVG's customer funds management services and processes.
-Accounting for, reconciling and settling individual and aggregate customer funds.
-Managing IRS reporting, loss prevention and collection services.
-Developing and compiling reports and internal control procedures that support our businesses.
-Reconciling vendor and bank reports to ensure proper settlement of funds.
-Managing two diverse teams located in in Oregon and New Jersey.
-Developing and managing department budgets
-Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
-Knowledge of and experience in generally accepted accounting practices required
-Knowledge of banking / auditing / reconciliation and settlement functions
-Ability to logically analyze data and develop reports to assist in decision making.
-Ability to actively listen to others and restate information to ensure understanding; Provide complete and accurate information; Maintain professional business standards at all times.
-Effective oral and written skills required.
-Knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word required.
-Knowledge and ability to develop and utilize financial software.
Experience/Training/Education/Certification :
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or equivalent as determined by management
Five or more years accounting experience based on management discretion.
Prior experience in a high volume credit/debit card transaction environment desired.
