This film internship program allows an individual the opportunity to cultivate invaluable skills, to gain vital hands-on experience, to make lasting relationships within the film industry, and to gain mentorship from an Academy Award-nominated director, writer, and cinematographer with over 40 years of industry experience. This internship program is a set three or six-month unpaid program with a set weekly schedule. It is designed to be an educational experience and an opportunity to gain experience in the film industry.
Interns may have the opportunity to work on set within a variety of positions, be asked to read or edit scripts and offer coverage, to edit lectures and interviews from masters in the field, to edit other promotional projects and reels, to attend creative meetings, to create different promotional materials in after effects, to work with social media and blogs, to help with production coordination and planning, etc. This internship program truly is a great opportunity for someone who wants to gain experience and an education from a master in the field.
Desired Skills:
- Must have an honest passion for filmmaking and visual storytelling
- Currently earning a college or university degree in Film, Directing, Producing, Graphic Design, Screenwriting, or a similar creative field
- Must have an honest passion for filmmaking and visual storytelling
- Experience with Film Editing software (preferably with Final Cut or Adobe Premiere)
- Demonstrated planning, organizational, and communication skills with special attention to detail
- Proven strong computer skills and a willingness to learn new programs
- Some experience with After Effects, Photoshop, and/or Illustrator a large bonus
- Some experience working on set is a bonus, especially if interested in camera operation, cinematography, lighting, production design, sound, etc.
