The Associate Producer reports to the Producer. S/he is responsible for managing the production process from Pre-production through delivery. This is not an entry-level position. Candidates must have primetime animated series budgeting and overlap scheduling experience. Duties to include but not limited to:
Managing production schedule, the production schedule, creating a weekly calendar for the crew; including coordinating with the executive producers schedule.
Creating NDA paperwork for artist testing and maintaining a database for artists testing and staffing.
Setting up freelance employees, tracking the work, and administering paperwork.
Overseeing freelancer schedules and assignments.
Supervising and production staff, artists, directors
Maintaining deadlines, quality control and general staff needs.
Attending all production meetings, and reviews.
Following up with crew, production staff and Executive Producer on notes questions and issues.
Overseeing legal clearance with appropriate Lawyers for all necessary design usage.
Acting as point person for Standards and Practices, insuring the implementation of all notes.
Approving and reviewing time cards.
Keeping all production contacts and schedules up to date.
Attending all Animatic edits, screenings and studio notes calls.
Acting as point person for all facilities and IT requests.
Coordinating with Editorial and setting priorities for departments when needed.
Overseeing retake staff, attending retakes meetings and managing with retakes budget.
Attending all Executive Producer edit sessions and picture locks.
Overseeing all music clearance, photo clearance and their respective budgets.
Handling all publicity and marketing requests.
Must be proficient with the business and software of production, including Movie Magic Budgeting and overlap scheduling.
