COSTUMES

The Belluscious Wardrobe Department is responsible for all wardrobe activity, ensuring the care and maintenance of the costumes that are used weekly, shoes and headpieces; in addition, the department is responsible for the look of each girl when dancing including makeup, laundry, research, and fittings.
Main Costume Manager
PROCEDURE WHEN A NEW PERFORMER IS HIRED:
*Create a package for the new dancers with what they need when working with us (i.e. tan fishnets, black heels, and strapless bra) and the rules to respect for costume usage and maintenance
*Make a package explaining and showing the dancers how to do their hair and makeup and ask them to do a test and send to us the pictures for approval
*Set up a workshop if the dancer doesn't know how to do their hair and makeup
*Create a file for the performer including a face shot, body shot and measurements
*Set up the fittings on the new dancer - take pictures of all fittings for approval
ORDERING NEW COSTUMES :
*Create a list of our suppliers
*Register Belluscious on any new ordering site so that supplies could be ordered in bulk and or wholesale
*Make sure our clients fill in the ordering form when new costumes are being ordered
*Order the costumes - props - and keep track of the deliveries
*if some costumes are being created by costumier-seamstress - we must also have an order form sent out to the costumier-seamstress and have them sign the form and return to us.
*When new costumes or props are delivered, open each box immediately, inventory what was received and cross check the delivery with what was ordered, test costume/prop on mannequin, schedule a fitting within two days of delivery.
*Keep track of all receipts whether they are paper or electronic and recap at end of each month
*Manage our daily expense recap online
*Make sure all costumes/props are delivered two weeks before they are to be used in a show
MAINTENANCE OF COSTUMES
*Check the daily pictures on Facebook and note the issues with costumes and makeup
*In a timely manner, plan a time and execution of when and how the issues will be fixed
*Be in contact with the onsite managers about any issues with how the girls are wearing the costumes, makeup issues, handling of costumes, or any other concerns about costumes
*Update Inventory regularly
*Keep all costumes in good condition and make sure they are cleaned and placed on assigned racks per show
*Supervise all repairs or tasks designated
*Maintain a safe working environment at all times by conforming to all established safety policies and procedures that are in all required safety classes and emergency rescue procedure training.
*Preserve the long-term integrity of costumes, shoes, hats and accessories.
EXTRA
*Participate in special projects including the construction and altering of new costume elements for the show.
*Maintain a flexible schedule for work calls, special events, rehearsals, training, maintenance and evening show performances.
*Perform other job related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED:
• At least 3 years of theatrical wardrobe experience.
• At least 1 year of experience with costume construction, maintenance and repair.
• At least 1 year of experience with wig and headpiece maintenance.
• Technical sewing skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Working knowledge on computer an deprograms such power points, excel, …
• Ability to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.
* Must be very organized and be able to lead a team
* Must be a team player and be good to work under pressure
