With offices in Santa Monica, New York City, and Austin Beck Media serves the PR and marketing needs of television networks, studios, producers, and programs: non-profits with ties to entertainment, and digital media firms providing content and services that are shaping the next phase of the entertainment industry.
We are looking for a full-time Public Relations and Office Assistant who can work Monday - Friday, 9am to 6pm.
Must have a great attitude, be well organized, pay attention to detail, multi-task with ease, be punctual with sharp attendance, and have excellent written, verbal and people skills. You should be proficient with MAC computers, especially MS Office programs. Graphic Design Experience is a plus.
Job functions include, but are not limited to:
Assist Public Relations Account Team members-on projects such as creating press lists, drafting pitch letters and releases, event staffing, creating clip reports, and media research
Office maintenance
Assist in planning events
Maintaining/updating various office documents such as the contact list
Manage bank deposits and sent checks
Answering phones and greeting visitors in a professional manner
Distributing deliveries, ordering supplies
Organizing/maintaining kitchen, supply room, conference rooms and common areas
Shipping packages
Work on company culture and synergy within the office
Assist HR
Special projects/assisting other departments as needed
Must know Excel and PDF
Candidates who are experienced in reception/administrative work are preferred. Must be pleasant, able to roll up sleeves and handle any situation with a smile. Multi-task and have an amazing attitude no matter what.
