Bear & Owl is looking for an ambitious intern to join our rapidly growing artist management and development family. This internship is unpaid, and is more about school credit and music industry experience. Starting in May 2017, you will have the opportunity to join us as we roll out our biggest releases of the year. Our mission is straightforward: soul communication. To evoke everlasting emotions through sound we encourage our artists to create music that will be deep-rooted in their listeners lives forever.
You will work closely with all of us and gain valuable hands-on experience in all facets of the music industry. By working on everything from strategy, A&R, branding, distribution, marketing, legal, publishing and finances you will be equipped with the skills and knowledge to take your career pursuits to the next level
Our ideal candidate is someone who can match our passion and contribute creative forward thinking ideas to a conversation. You are extremely detail oriented, have high-level organizational abilities and an enthusiasm for learning new skills. Lastly, you will be working remotely from home so you must be incredibly self-motivated.
Responsibilities
- Help with day-to-day needs
- Administrative Organization
- Spreadsheet data collection & updates
- Updating the Bear & Owl social handles
- Blogging
- Monitor and database artist stats across all platforms
- Attend and participate in meetings and brainstorming sessions
Internship Qualifications
- Exquisite musical taste and extensive knowledge of electronic dance music
- Strong entrepreneurial and self driven mindset
- Proficiency with Google Apps for Business & Slack
- Enthusiasm for learning
- Positive attitude
- Photoshop experience is a plus
- Final Cut/After Effects software experience is a plus
