Beacher's Madhouse at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel in Los Angeles is looking for an experienced event sales manager. This position is in charge of executing current sales and marketing plan to meet sales objectives and goals set forth by the VP of Operations. Other responsibilities include generating new event leads by sending out emails, marketing materials, cold calling, and visiting prospective and past clients. Growing client relationships is an essential function of this position, which involves entertaining the client, sending follow-ups and thank you's. This person will be responsible for site walk-throughs, overseeing banquet menus, and maintaining an event inquiry log. The Event Sales Manager will also participate in pricing discussions with clients for potential events. Other important tasks include maintaining monthly event statements of completed events, developing BEOs, and other administrative tasks. The main function of this position is to seamlessly oversee events from start to completion.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for booking events for Las Vegas based theater
• Strategic in booking acts nationally and worldwide
• Assisting in creating business by contacting all previous clients to reschedule
events and/or cold calling potential clients.
• Book large and small events and functions
• Create proposals for events to meet clients' needs
• Fielding calls from potential clients looking to put together events at venue
• Creating lists of possible corporate clientele and creating outreach to them in
order initiate a relationship with them
• Oversee and create marketing material necessary for event sales
• Work in tandem with marketing director in coordinated campaigns to create
Greater brand awareness
• Coordinating all aspects of the event details and updating management
• Act as liaison with clients on the days of events
* Able to write and speak in a confident manor.
* Greet all guests warmly.
* Experience with taking reservations a plus.
* Recent experience as a Lead Host preferred
* Must be 18 years of age or older to qualify for this position.
* Must be able to stand or walk a minimum eight-hour shift.
* Must be able observant and quick to respond to various situations while also multi-tasking and handling stressful situations.
* Must be able to twist, tow (push or pull), reach, bend climb and carry objects as necessary.
* Must have excellent communication skills and be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
* Must be able to work in a fast pace and high-volume environment in the presence of areas containing second hand smoke, high noise levels, dancing,
bright lights and dust and communicate during this time -- sometimes within a small area.
* Must be able to work inside and outside at all times of the year as needed, based upon business volumes.
EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS:
Previous experience in Event Sales is preferred. High School Diploma Required.
College Degree preferred Proof of eligibility to work in the United States 5 years'
experience in hospitality working in a high volume restaurant Valid Driver's
License 18 years of age Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed
appearance adhering to Beacher's Madhouse standards
