Part Time Unpaid Internship

Each semester, Bandsintown has several internship opportunities in our NYC and San Diego offices. We work closely with local schools and internship programs to provide for-credit training in several fun departments: Editorial Content, Sales/Marketing, and Artist Relations
We're looking for a Fall 2016 intern to join the Artist Relations team in San Diego, CA. This role is perfect for someone looking to learn more about the music industry and to develop valuable relationships. The ideal candidate is interested in expanding skills related to artist outreach, product development, user analytics, artist support, and more.
We are looking to teach about the music industry as a whole and also the emerging trends at the intersection of music and technology. The candidate must be enrolled in an internship program through an accredited educational program. This position is unpaid for school credit; 15-20 hours per week are expected.
Responsibilities include:
Be actively willing to learn more about the music industry and the technology sector.
Become knowledgeable in all aspects of Bandsintown Manager.
Support the Artist Relations team with outreach.
Assist in business development endeavors as needed.
Provide the Product team with suggestions based upon artist feedback.
Work diligently to resolve artist issues as they arise.
Prepare reports as to the usage of various artists on a particular roster.
Requirements:
You must be enrolled in an internship course for the term and eligible to receive credit for your time with Bandsintown.
Be within commutable distance to our San Diego office (in the Little Italy neighborhood).
Possess excellent oral and written communication skills. You will be interacting with artists as the face of our company.
Familiarity with current technological and social media trends.
Must be a self-starter with a track record of accomplishments.
Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint and Word, and be comfortable with collaboration and communication tools, such as Google Drive, Skype, and Slack.
Must thrive in a team environment, but be able to take initiative and work independently.
Must be creative, personable, and able to think outside the box.
