? Exercise professional judgment in handling routine media inquiries
- Assess other incoming communications via phone, e-mail, fax and mail
- Work in tandem with talent managers, agents, personal assistants, stylists and others
- Maintain and update client/manager/agent contact information
- Create and maintain media lists
- Regularly take initiative in organizing AE to maximize efficacy
- Maintain AE schedule and set/facilitate meetings
- Originate and disseminate client memos (e.g., interviews, photo shoots, status reports)
- Leverage knowledge of client in drafting creative pitches, news releases, bios, etc., while incorporating edits into documents
- Maintain and update press kit materials for each client
- Work in tandem with AE to actively pitch media and to follow up pitches
- Work in tandem with AE to strategically disseminate mailings
- Monitor media breaks for clients and clip/mount printed stories
- When covering on-the-ground events, respond to situations as they arise: i.e., covering photo shoots, facilitating interviews on television and movie sets, walking client down red carpets and facilitating photo/interview opportunities at live events
- Continually hone skills in requisite software programs (e.g., Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required
- Self-starter, able to work independently and also work well in a team
- Strong ability to prioritize, solve problems, work under pressure, and be resourceful
- Can handle fast-paced PR environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Professional demeanor on all counts: appearance, behavior, communication - written/phone
- Patience, attention to detail and available for overtime hours as the hours are not a straight 9-5
