POSITION SUMMARY: Part of the ClientOps Configuration Management team. Primarily responsible for ServiceNow platform. This includes, but is not limited to Incident Management, Asset Management, Change Management, Problem Management, and the Service Catalog. Also primarily responsible for developing and managing ITAM processes. Assists team members with the management of other platforms as needed, including Microsoft System Center products (SCCM, SCORCH, SCOM) and various SaaS applications that are used to manage and protect endpoint systems.
FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
Essential Functions: which may be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly associated with this position.
• Configure and customize all aspects of the ServiceNow platform
• Provide operational support and maintenance for ServiceNow
• Develop and maintain ITAM processes utilizing ServiceNow
• Provide software inventory reports and maintain an approved software list
• Assist with the development of runbooks to provide automation for the service catalog
• Author reports as needed for various business units
• Assist team members with the management of our ClientOps infrastructure
• Perform system and integration testing
• Author and maintain technical documentation
• Perform additional functions as needed to support ClientOps
• Perform hardware asset audits and alert appropriate teams of irregularities
Physical/Visual Activities or Demands: Physical/visual activities or demands that are commonly associated with the performance functions of this job.
• Sitting, talking, hearing, walking.
• Concentrated mental and visual attention with normal hand-eye coordination.
• Clarity of vision at 20 inches B corrected or uncorrected.
• Generally negligible physical effort, but occasional moving of 1 to 50 lb. items.
Environmental/Atmospheric Conditions: Environmental and atmospheric conditions commonly associated with the functions of this job.
Normal office conditions.
POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or comparable technical experience.
Experience:
A minimum of 2 years of experience in the following areas is preferred:
• Experience working in the ServiceNow platform as an Admin or Developer, configuring core modules in an enterprise environment (experience working as an Admin or Developer in comparable platforms such as Zen Desk, CA Service Desk, Remedy will be considered)
• Experience implementing ITSM best practice processes and procedures in an enterprise environment
• Experience developing process automation using ServiceNow Orchestration, System Center Orchestrator, or an equivalent tool in an enterprise environment
Skills and Abilities: which may be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly associated with this position.
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft Client Operating Systems
• Thorough understanding of ITIL/ITSM processes
• In-depth knowledge of the technical implementation of various ITSM modules
• Ability to define and document best practice standards and standard operating procedures
• Proficiency with Windows PowerShell
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to efficiently prioritize and organize competing work demands with little oversight
• Proven ability to absorb, master and leverage emerging technologies
• Ability to guide, direct, and train individual team members as needed
• Experience in developing and executing on short and long-range IT project plans
• Effective written and verbal communications
