POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for leading the revenue forecasting and budgeting of media markets. Responsible for leading the data aggregation and analysis of music use and market share data from audio visual sources for Licensing and Writer/Publisher departments. Work closely with Senior Management in developing and influencing licensing negotiation strategy.
FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
Essential Functions: which may be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly associated with this position.
• Analyze Media Markets financial results and provide monthly variance explanations and forecasting/budgeting support to Finance.
• Translate financial & operational data into actionable decision making information.
• Lead research and analysis of financial and music use/share data for license negotiations. Maintain and refine market share analysis and reports on a regular basis.
• Monitor industry trends and company news to incorporate business intelligence into appropriate projects. Present key findings to appropriate groups.
• Act as an internal business consultant to the General Licensing, Customer Relations and Digital Licensing departments by providing analytical support to help drive incremental revenue and review license structures.
• Provide various ad hoc data research and analysis as requested by management.
• POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
Experience: Minimum seven years of financial planning analysis/market research. Business process assessment experience is preferred. Media/entertainment industry preferred.

• Strong interpersonal skills; Ability to establish good working relationships with BMI personnel and senior management. Must be able to aid in conflict resolution.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, Cognos BI, as well as internet-based research methods.
