SUMMARY
Through the sale of licenses, Sales and Lead Specialists play a key role in generating royalties for BMI affiliates. Based out of BMI’s Nashville office, Sales and Lead Specialists use traditional sales and research methods to identify and connect with businesses that need to obtain permission for the music they use in their establishment. Successful Sales and Lead Specialists couple time-honored sales skills with an enthusiasm for the value of music to educate businesses about their responsibility when choosing to use music to enhance the customer experience. Talking with hundreds of businesses a week, top Sales and Lead Specialists identify music use in the market place and work to secure licenses on behalf of BMI affiliates.
FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
• Educates the marketplace on the value of music and the service BMI provides
• Sells music licenses in an outbound calling environment
• Researches businesses to discover licensable music use
• Documents customer interactions through the use of a CRM/Salesforce.com
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• Intuitive decision-making with the ability to handle objections and close the deal
• Ability to research using internet, social media, and other information platforms
• Excellent rapport building through communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient with technology tools (Microsoft Office, Windows, CRM/Salesforce.com)
• Desire to work hard and have fun
• Bachelor degree or equivalent preferred
• Ability to work 29 hours a week, in shifts of 6 hours
