POSITION SUMMARY: Provides HR support and guidance by performing the following duties:
FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
• Participates in staffing activities, as assigned, including: posting job opportunities on job boards and in publications, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, conducting interviews, administering applicant assessments and entering information in applicant tracking database as assigned.
• Conducts reference and background checks, directly and/or through third party agencies as assigned.
• Responds to inquiries from agencies and applicants regarding employment opportunities.
• Conducts team member new hire and benefits orientations as assigned; ensures completion of all necessary paperwork.
• Maintains the HR database. Runs routine reports to ensure all appropriate fields are populated.
• Responds to team members’ questions and concerns as needed.
• Maintains and distributes organizational charts on a routine basis.
• Coordinates team member and vendor meetings.
• Coordinates team member ticket sales (i.e., movie tickets, theme park tickets).
• Manages existing and obtains new team member discount programs.
• Files documents, organizes and maintains HR related files.
• Manages/order supplies for department as needed.
• Coordinates special events and assists with special HR projects as needed.
• Other tasks as needed.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no direct reports.
Physical/Visual Activities or Demands: Physical/visual activities or demands that are commonly associated with the performance functions of this job.
• Sitting, talking, hearing and walking.
• Concentrated mental and visual attention with normal hand-eye coordination.
• Clarity of vision at 20 inches B corrected or uncorrected.
• Generally negligible physical effort, but occasional moving of 1 to 25 lb. items.
• Frequent keyboarding.
• Extended hours beyond 40 as needed.
• Regular attendance.
Environmental/Atmospheric Conditions: Environmental and atmospheric conditions commonly associated with the functions of this job.
Normal office conditions.
POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent preferred
Experience: Minimum one year experience in a Human Resources Department
Skills and Abilities: which may be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly associated with this position.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Working knowledge of HR systems a plus.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Interviewing skills.
• Knowledge of HR policies and procedures, legal compliance and employment laws.
• Highest level of confidentiality.
• Strong detail orientation.
• Able to establish a constructive and informative relationship with team members, management, and vendors.
• Able to work independently and exercise good judgment.
• Able to prioritize multiple assignments to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Assertive, self-starter, requiring minimal supervision.
