Your Mission at BMG
If offered the position, you will be responsible for the coordination, research, and action of income tracking systems and processes for production music. You will monitor income tracking tools such as Tunesat, Watermark tracking and work with performance rights organizations to assess proper income levels received and/or submission of income collection reports.
Your Profile
You have excellent communication skills, are highly organized, and can manage multiple tasks simultaneously. You are also proactive, self-reliant and you take initiative. Additionally, you have strong working knowledge of music licensing and royalty processing for music publishing.
What You'll Be Doing
Income Tracking Monitoring Tools
• Monitor and compare usage reports using Tunesat, Digimarc
• Work with societies to recover unpaid and underpaid royalties
Performance Usage
• Submit collections for advertisements, tv shows & theatrical trailers
• Track income of performance usage
• Work with societies to recover unpaid and underpaid royalties
Infringement Review
• Identify and assist with research of unlicensed placements
• Work with licensing and legal teams in collecting unlicensed uses
Report Preparation, Monitoring and Management
• Prepare various income tracking analysis reports for management
Assist Licensing and Operations team with various day to day tasks
Must-Haves
• Certification in music business from trade school and/or AA/BA
• Minimum 1 year working in a music publishing company preferably in royalties or income tracking
• Proficiency in all MS Office specifically Excel analytics and use of pivot tables
