DIGITAL DIRECTOR, BRAND SOLUTIONS |NEW YORK CITY
POSITION SUMMARY:
Black Entertainment TV is seeking an experienced Digital professional to join our Team in NYC, to help us fuel our Digital revenue growth. The Director would work closely with Digital Ad Sales to identify and understand clients’ business and budgets to create compelling and creative proposals/packages that are most likely to result in sales revenue. This position would interface with our Digital Content and Social teams to assist in the development of brand targeted concepts and ideas. Additionally, this position is expected to assist with sell-in of the proposals, as well as source new advertiser opportunities.
Position would report to the Vice President of Brand Solutions, which supports the Network’s Sales Team, through ideation and execution around our plethora of programming and event initiatives. We develop creative, unique, brand-relevant initiatives that have the potential to generate revenue. The goal is to enhance a Brand’s level of engagement with our audience, and provide a higher level of visibility and reach.
The ideal Candidate is seasoned Digital/Social professional in the area of advertising sales/marketing, is a creative ‘out-of-the-box’ thinker, adept in the Digital/Social space, keeps current on cultural trends, is extremely well-organized, analytical, detailed, and dependable; has exceptional communication, writing & presentation skills, sound professional judgement/decision-making skills, is collaborative, level-headed/composed under pressure, and has the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Respond to Request for Proposals (RFPs), submitted by clients or BET Digital Sales Team
• Manage proposal development through all applicable phases - ideation, vetting, writing, and presenting, if requested
• Work collaboratively with key stakeholders across the Company, throughout the ideation and proposal development process
• Develop meeting agendas, recap notes, deal memos, and regularly interface with clients throughout the proposal process
• Manage and maintain positive client relationships
• Oversee and monitor sponsorship campaigns, including the analysis of the recap report
• Actively participate in various meetings (Team, inter-departmental), as well as client meetings or presentations, as needed
• Flexibility with work hours, and overnight/weekend travel, as required for projects
Basic Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree; minimum 4-5 years successful track record of related experience
• Highly knowledgeable and engaged with current Digital and Social platforms
• Must have demonstrable skills and experience writing compelling and effective proposals, ideally via a portfolio of work.
• Broad experience and comprehension of how Digital and Social media is measured, planned, packaged, and sold.
• Ability to ensure all proposals tell a powerful story. Strong presentation skills
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs
• Ability to take initiative, identify issues and develop recommended solutions
