The Account Executive (AE) will be responsible for covering the following categories: B2B Education publishers in K12 and Post-Secondary markets, online learning platform distributors in K12, schools and school districts, Higer Education level learning platforms. The ideal candidate has experience and contacts in these categories. Educational properties included in remit: short form videos from BBC Factual, CBS News, Open University, BBC Global News and BBC Earth.
Job Dimensions
- Maintaining and growing revenue for BBC WW Learning within categories
- Utilize client relationships to create impact from day 1
- Outstanding business written and verbal communication skills, as well as exceptional organizational and presentation abilities
-Leverage BBC's assets to create compelling and custom sales solutions for clients and ad agencies
- Utilize creativity and negotiation skills to present and differentiate BBC in the competitive Learning Market place
- Work hand in hand with Senior VP and team to develop demand and assist in brokering deals
- Strong understanding of licensing and models in education market
- Full knowledge of rights and clearnaces needed to close licensing deals
Essential Responsibilities
- Meet monthly/quarterly revenue targets
- Estbalish and implement territorial sales strategies with the VP of Learning
- Learn and utilize all relevant systems for fulfilling video requests to customers
- Network at industry events
- Regular client outreach via visits, email and phone, as well as presenting custom pitches to clients presenatations via web conferences and in-person
- Work with marketing coordinator to create pitches
- Work with content coordinators to identify gaps per client trends and needs
- Produce sales reports and identify sales trends
- Collaborate with the Rights and Media Coordinators in the provision of video assets for clients
- Maintain relationships with existing clients and partners to assure customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of relevant educational sales experience int he learning market with an emphasis on educational video
- Track record of strong revenue growth for existing and new business, relationship building and customer satisfaction
- Client relationships to drive and develop key sales strategies and solutions
- Flexible to travel as required
- Ability to communicate client feedback and marketing place conditions to sales management to help inform product and sales strategy
- Deep understanding of digital video learning marketplace, trends and client structure
- Ability to identify and develop winning strategies/products for key accounts and prospects
- Ability to build and manage a robust pipeline of business
- Proactive in sales approach to antifipate changing market needs
- Must be outgoing, organized, solution-oriented, a team player and a strategic thinker
