BASIC FUNCTION
General support and assistance to members of the Legal team.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Draft standard agreements including non-disclosure agreements, unsolicited submission letters and cease and desist letters, ultimately leading to drafting license agreements and deal memos.
2. Provide research assistance in various areas, including contract interpretation, claims, and intellectual property issues.
3. Assist in development and updating of standard agreements, forms and procedures.
4. Summarize contract terms for entry into the worldwide legal database;
5. Review checklist procedures for all contracts and standard templates.
6. Review and organization of legal contract database, and assist in development of legal procedure manual.
7. Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. College or Law Student, preference for law school student
2. Entertainment/Media experience
3. Interest in television industry
4. Proficient in Word, Excel and Powerpoint
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
6. Eligible for College credit
