Search for Head of Digital Video Production jobs in Culver City-CA
B-17 is seeking a Head of Digital Video Production who will be responsible for overseeing all production, which includes budget, logistics and operations for this new start up division focused on short form content. We are looking for someone to roll up their sleeves and help us oversee multiple short form projects simultaneously. Any candidates must come with a rolodex of digital talent (editors, shooters, producers) accustomed to working on primarily digital content.
Key Activities:
Production
Oversee all production and post production for pilots and series
Hire freelancers and manage work distribution between freelance and internal staff to assemble a team of people who can successfully put together a quality production
Be on location to manage production logistics
Budget
Oversee, allocate, and manage individual show budgets as well as quarterly to yearly video production budget
Development
Work closely with creative director and company principals at concept stage to ensure we're developing shows within our production bounds
Management
Manage fulltime staff of producers, directors, and post, as well as freelancers including hiring and performance management/ coaching
Member of management team responsible for working between company leaders and team to help develop a positive company culture and profitable business
Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience in related field
5+ years as an EIC, Line Producer, Production Manager for digital content projects.
TV Experience helpful but cannot be only experience.
Skills and Abilities:
Deep and demonstrable knowledge of video production, digital channels and digital media required
Excellent communication skills
Ability to multi-task in an extremely fast-moving environment
Effective time management skills are critical for success in this position
Previous experience managing a team (internal and external) and budget
Experience managing production process through brief, pre/post, and distribution
Complex problem solving ability and always solution-oriented
Strong operational sense and attention to detail
