Axium Digital, Inc. a rapidly growing captioning and localization facility servicing major studios has an immediate opening for an experienced language resource coordinator. Primary responsibilities are ensuring the smooth commissioning of Localization/Close Captioning projects and assisting with the distribution of necessary materials to vendors world-wide.
JOB DESCRIPTION
• Coordinate the scheduling of multi-lingual Subtitling/Closed Captioning projects in conjunction with Project Manager to ensure deadlines are met.
• Send Project Confirmations daily the vendors that have confirmed availability.
• Communicate daily with the Project Manager regarding the booking of vendors for current and upcoming projects.
• Advise the Production Manager on specific file formats required by vendors on a per project basis.
• Responsible for ensuring accurate scheduling and the expediting of video assets.
• Provide full and professional support to all colleagues and vendors world-wide.
• Coordinate the ongoing expansion of the vendor database.
• Other duties may be assigned as required in the course of the business unit's growing needs and requirements.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
• Degree-educated (preference for linguistic degree, and near-native familiarity with at least one language other than English); all additional education and experience welcomed.
• Extensive experience working in a Subtitling department.
• Must be an accomplished and committed team player; highly organized; advanced prioritization skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Have the ability to work well under pressure in a deadline-driven environment.
• Computer literacy; familiarity with major subtitling software, emerging digital technologies and the general post-production industry.
• Client- and service- focused; extensive experience in relationship-building (internal & external) especially with sub-contractors; advanced skills in troubleshooting of subtitle translation projects.
