Search for Junior Accountant jobs in Los Angeles-CA
Atomic Fiction is looking for a Junior Accountant to start immediately in our Los Angeles office to assist with general finance and accounting needs. This position will report to the Vice President of Finance.
Job functions include:
Manage 1-2 sets of books
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
Assist with payroll processing
Reconcile credit card transactions
Maintain fixed asset listing and depreciation schedule as new items are purchased and put into service
Monthly bank reconciliations
Maintain and reconcile weekly cash flow projections
Assist with accruals and journal entries
Maintain accounting files
Assist producers with production accounting reporting including assisting with bidding and EFCs, as needed
Generate and maintain coding for transactions
Prepare month end reports and ad hoc reports as needed
For the right candidate, this position has long-term growth and upward mobility potential
Position located in the Los Angeles area
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years relevant finance/accounting experience
Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills, with a sense of humor and high level of attention to detail
High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results oriented
Familiarity with visual effects and/or film production preferred
Familiarity with Quickbooks Online a plus
Able to react and respond quickly to the needs of management and clients
