The Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) is the sole governing body of professional surfing. Crowning surfing's undisputed world champions since 1976, the ASP sanctions the following tours: the ASP World Championship Tours (WCT); the ASP World Qualification Series (WQS); the Big Wave World Tour (BWWT); the ASP World Longboard Championship (WLC) and the ASP World Junior Championship (WJC). The ASP is dedicated to showcasing the world's best surfers compete on the world's best waves. The organization is divided into seven different regions: Africa, Asia, Australasia, Europe, Hawaii, North America, and South America.
The ASP embodies all aspects of surfing. From idyllic pointbreaks in exotic locations, to heaving barrels, to big-city beachbreaks, the current ASP Top 34 and Top 17 take on everything from dream waves to daily training grounds, proving the ASP World Champion is truly the most well rounded surfer the sport has to offer.
Having been around for 38 years the sport is developing a deep and enriched heritage. Professional surfing has perpetually evolved, growing from a fringe movement to a globally celebrated sport. The ASP serves to celebrate and grow the history, elite athletes, diverse fans and dedicated partners that together embody professional surfing today.
The ASP is currently hiring the following position:
Title:
Legal Assistant
Responsibilities:
-Assisting and supporting General Counsel and Associate General Counsel
-Revising, organizing and filing agreements
-Coordinate domestic and international travel
-Completion of expense reports
-Organizing calendar and arranging meetings and conferences
-General assistance as necessary
Qualifications:
-2+ years assistance experience
-Strong time management, organizational and communication skills, and a keen attention to detail
-Excel at working in a team environment and in collaborating with others
-Prioritize and manage multiple projects
-Work appropriately with highly confidential materials and information
-Self-starter with ability to handle multiple, high priority tasks
-4 year college degree
-Prior legal assistance is desired but not required
