Part Time Unpaid Internship
Assemble Sound connects Detroit musicians to each other and our work to the music-loving world. We convene around the belief that collaboration and cooperation can be a foundation of success for Detroit musicians and the broader ecosystem we represent.
Assemble Sound is currently looking for a Music Supervision & Licensing intern for their Detroit studio. This internship is part-time (2/3 days per week) and unpaid, although students may earn college credit. Candidates must be undergraduate enrolled in a music business or related program.
Responsibilities:
- Meta data input and ID3 Tagging
- Catalog data entry
- Research master and publishing rights information
- Organize digital music library & contract filing system
- Opportunity to review & distribute licenses
- Special event help
- General office assistance
Requirements:
- Have a solid understanding of the basics of music publishing and licensing
- A passion to work in the music industry
- Personal laptop and reliable transportation
- Knowledge of music history, instruments, and genres
- Proficiency in Social Media, Music Curation, Microsoft Office, and Google Drive as well as being web-savvy
- Must be highly organized, self-motivated with the ability to thrive on a small team
