Overview:
This position supports various departments in the Company in conjunction with the rest of our team. Primary focus is on the Motion Graphics Department. The successful candidate will be technically proficient and knowledgeable with a strong customer service / communication orientation.
This is a full time job, with on call shifts on some weekends. Actual schedule is to be determined.
Key Responsibilities:
Support and troubleshooting of Mac and Windows workstations
• Perform minor repairs and routine cleaning computer equipment
• Updating and patching operating systems and applications
• Diagnose and resolve general system problems
Provides technical support for Motion Graphics Department (troubleshoot and support After Effects, Maya, 3DSMax, Nuke, Cinema 4D, among others)
Manage backup and recovery systems
Manage Imaging/deployment workflow
Proactive involvement in continuous improvement of facility and department
Provides technical assistance for internal and external clients
Achieve project timeframes and priorities based on project objectives and ongoing assignments
Notify supervisors when major equipment repairs are needed
Influence future technology enhancements
Monitor infrastructure perimeter and maintain security posture
Qualifications:
Experience with supporting various compositing applications (After Effects, Maya, 3DSMax, Cinema4D)
Experience with distributed rendering concepts and strategies
Thorough knowledge of the Mac OS, Windows, and Windows server platforms (Linux is a plus)
Experience with storage systems and technologies (NAS, SAN, etc.)
Active Directory support and configuration
Strong communicator (verbal, written) who is able to effectively interact with all levels of the organization as well as high-profile external customers and visitors
Able to debug/fix problematic systems (either server/workstation hardware or software). Work with vendors/customer services issues, and follow up on solutions
Other Qualifications:
Cisco experience, VLAN configuration, understanding of routing and trunk ports, DHCP, DNS, various other networking related technologies and troubleshooting are a plus
PowerShell/Python/Perl scripting is a plus
Experience with VMware, VSphere, ESXi and related technologies are a plus
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting specific deadlines
Ability to monitor incoming communication at a fast pace, prioritize activities, and act accordingly
Ability to work at a computer keyboard 4 hours a day
Ability to impact current business opportunities through application of specialized technical knowledge
