We specialize in crafting award-winning and innovative campaigns for major motion picture studios, networks, game publishers and consumer brands. Responsibilities include supporting the graphic design and animation of all marketing initiatives, from a conceptual as well as production standpoint. We are looking for someone who has the creativity, the technical prowess and the collaborative nature to help our team deliver ground-breaking motion graphics. You must have good organizational skills and work well in a hands-on environment. You must have a cool head to deal with our fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. You must have at least a basic understanding of After Effects
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• You will be designing motion graphics for theatrical, videogame, and broadcast projects.
• You will animate other designer's concepts.
• You will be doing a lot of finishing work - meaning revising existing ''looks'' as they are rolled out across a home video or theatrical TV campaign. Some of these campaigns might have 20-30 TV spots. There is a lot of organization involved in this.
• You will support our team of Sr. Designer/Animators and Art Directors. This could include designing or animating elements for their concepts. It could mean building storyboards from their frames.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• Design degree (or enrolled in a Design program) demonstrated by portfolio & reel. Additional experience in brand identity and packaging a plus.
• Conceptual thinker.
• Intermediate ability in using software (After Effects, PhotoShop, Illustrator) is an absolute must.
• Intermediate ability in 3d animation is a must - prefer Cinema4d although Maya would be acceptable.
• Thorough training and knowledge of typography.
• Basic knowledge of broadcast and film standards and equipment including post-production. Must have an intermediate knowledge of film and video finishing and processes. Must be comfortable learning new technology and equipment.
• Macintosh environment savvy. Must be able to trouble-shoot basic computer issues.
OTHER SKILLS
• Passionate about design.
• The candidate must be an exceptional problem solver.
• Leads by example. Earns respect of colleagues. Team leader.
• Clear communicator. Takes directions well.
• Excellent multi-tasking abilities. Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Self-motivated and driven. Takes the initiative to learn new hardware and software as needed.
• Levelheaded, calm and functions well under stress.
IMPORTANT REQUIREMENT:
Qualified candidates must be students currently enrolled at an accredited art/design university program and be able to receive academic credits for this unpaid internship. We are looking for unpaid interns that will be able to start their internship here in Fall 2017.
