Summary:
Independent film production company is looking for a smart, highly motivated and organized individual for a full-time Assistant position. We are looking for someone who can handle and oversee all the administrative aspects of the office and serve as a liaison between industry professionals. Standard administrative duties will be supplemented with occasional involvement in special projects. Assistant will be expected to juggle multiple projects and be aggressive in completing tasks. This is a phenomenal opportunity for someone with exceptionally strong administrative and organizational skills to advance their career with a small and growing production company in an entrepreneurial and welcoming environment.
Responsibilities:
• Handle a wide range of administrative and executive/producer support-related tasks
• Examples include rolling calls, scheduling, booking travel, creating presentation materials, coordinating events, and overseeing interns as well as script coverage
• Interact with business associates and creative partners at all levels in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, efficient and professional
• Organize, maintain, and update electronic databases and paper files
• Communicate and handle incoming and outgoing electronic and written communications
• Candidate should display a great deal of initiative, strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well under pressure
Requirements:
• Expert level written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Excellent computer skills and willing to help troubleshoot
• Strong problem solving and decision making ability
• Ability to exercise good judgment in balancing multiple priorities
• Ability to take initiative in staying one step ahead in a fast-moving environment
• Ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines while demonstrating poise, resourcefulness and the highest level of professionalism
• Confidentiality and flexibility are critical to success in this position as you will have access to highly confidential material, and the film business can be highly unpredictable at times
• Ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience working for an entertainment company. Prior experience as an assistant at an agency is strongly preferred but not required
• Strong desire to have a long-term career in film production
