OVERVIEW:
Nationally televised dog-training series is looking for a Production Coordinator for its third season. This person will work closely with all members of the production team to help manage the day-to-day operations of this half-hour reality series and help ensure that all aspects of production run smoothly.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Helping producers coordinate daily shoots at the show's West San Fernando Valley training facility along with multiple field shoots each week throughout the Los Angeles area, which will occasionally be produced on weekends.
• Overseeing all personnel involved in the maintenance of the show's central training facility including gardeners, cleaning staff and other outside vendors.
• Serving as the point person between the production crew and the show's caterer to ensure that the crew's nutritional needs are addressed. On days during which a caterer is not used, responsible for arranging restaurant accommodations or handling take--out orders for the entire cast & crew.
• Researching potential shooting locations, then securing approved facilities and obtaining all necessary documents including location agreements, film permits and on-camera releases.
• Creating, Updating, Distributing and Filing various production documents including cost reports, daily schedules, time cards and legal documents.
• Researching, ordering and arranging delivery or pick-up of various production supplies including set decorations, props, craft services, pet supplies, wardrobe items and miscellaneous rentals. While keeping track of these corresponding expenses, you'll be required to maintain and share records with the company's production management team.
DESIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
• Experience coordinating different aspects of physical television production, preferably on either a reality or lifestyle TV series.
• Strong written & verbal communication skills and excellent phone manner.
• The ability to foresee problems and solve them ahead of time.
• Willingness to get your hands dirty to get the job done.
• Ability to delegate tasks with confidence when additional help is available.
• Strong organizational skills, laser-beam focus and attention to detail.
• General tech know-how & familiarity with Microsoft Office & Google Docs
• A valid driver's license
REQUIRED AVAILABILITY:
• Pre-Production Start Date: Early APRIL 2015
• Production Start Date: Early MAY 2015
• Expected Conclusion of Production: Early-Mid NOVEMBER 2015
