American Humane Association seeks a Production & Cost Accounting Analyst to work on a consulting basis with the organization's Film & Television Unit. This position is based at American Humane Association's Studio City, California office and reports directly to both the Director of Operations, No Animals Were Harmed® and the Chief Financial Officer.

Position summary:
To analyze, evaluate and make recommendations regarding:
1. Program costs & profits in the delivery of our services
2. Budgetary assumptions and projections
3. Achieving organizational goal of ''breaking-even.''
Responsibilities:
• Complete a cost/profit analysis of our fee-for-service business model, including the profit/loss margin for union, non-union and international productions in the delivery of services and related travel costs
• Make recommendations regarding current fee structure, impact of current computation of commuting and travel costs
• Determine the cost of maintaining a corps team of on-call safety reps
• Analyze and make recommendations regarding budgetary assumptions
• Make recommendations regarding resource allocation to optimize workflow
• Make recommendations regarding strategies to achieve ''budget break-even point''
Essential experience, knowledge, skills and abilities:
• BA or BS degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• CPA preferred
• 7+ years' experience in accounting/finance, with at least 5 years' of revenue and production accounting experience, preferably for service industry.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills, including the ability to write reports, verbally present information and collaborate with multi-department team.
• Ability to synthesize complex and diverse information into cogent, actionable analysis
• Advanced Excel skills
• High level of professionalism and discretion
• Experience in entertainment production preferred
Physical demands and work environment:
• standard office environment
• staff bring personal pets to the office, so will need to be comfortable around animals
