Interaction Designer, Advertising Design and User Experience
The Amazon Display Advertising team seeks a talented, customer-obsessed Senior Interaction Designer to drive innovative advertising experiences for Amazon and its global brand partners across Amazon's media properties. The ideal candidate will combine exceptional interactive, UX design, and conceptual thinking with strong visual design skills - and has proven, agency/in-house experience in turning advertiser objectives into effective design solutions.
You are an experienced Interaction Designer who has successfully demonstrated taking business goals and turning them into world-class designs. You understand the complexity of marketing and know how to set the visual standard across asset types and marketing projects. You have strong project management skills, web expertise, design ability, typographic skills, and acute attention to detail.

Specific Responsibilities
• Design cutting-edge advertising experiences for the world's leading advertisers
• Analyze marketing challenges and create on-brand design solutions that meet measurable business goals and requirements
• Create simple, elegant customer-centric designs by integrating marketing objectives, target audience, creative assets and Amazon design patterns into intuitive solutions
• Analyze post-campaign metrics to set best practices and optimize advertising campaigns for brand awareness as well as conversion metrics
• Partner with sales teams by bringing big ideas to life through ideation and creation of high fidelity designs for sales presentations
• Support marketing and sales teams with design and execution of marketing collateral and materials
• Work directly with account management, account directors, project manager and technical leads on assigned projects
• Develop and contribute to detailed cross-platform interaction specifications and design patterns
• Present design work to clients, partner agencies, the user experience team and sales executives for review and feedback
• Review third-party creative and collaborate with our global ad policy team to ensure that agency supplied creative meets Amazon's customer experience bar
• Staff, manage and mentor design staff and designers across the organization
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Self-starter who is a customer-obsessed, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic team player
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Experience setting art direction, coordinating and reviewing the work of the design team and other clients and internal stakeholders to ensure the highest quality and unity of visual style
• Strong project management skills and team-oriented with the ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
• An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating strong art direction, visual design skills and experience creating great interactive advertising experiences is a requirement for application
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to work with highly technical teams and handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent presentation skills
• Excellent working knowledge of Flash, Photoshop and the full Adobe Creative Suite
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum of 5 years experience as an interactive designer, preferably with 3 years in an interactive agency environment
• Bachelor degree in design or equivalent professional experience required, Masters degree preferred
