Amazon's Prime Video launched in 2014 and it has quickly become a strategic priority for the Amazon business. This is reflected in the considerable investment that has been required to launch the service into more than 200 countries and territories around the world and the investment in Amazon Studios – responsible for the production of all Amazon Original content - winner of 1 BAFTA, 6 Golden Globes, 11 Primetime Emmys, and 3 Oscars, as of 2017.
Amazon Prime Video is seeking a highly intelligent and results oriented individual with a passion for building brands in the tech and entertainment space. This Sr. Brand Manager will be responsible for strategizing and executing marketing campaigns for the Prime Video brand globally. He/she will also help with the development of overall brand strategy, advertising creative, media plans, social campaigns, and research plans. This position will be based in Santa Monica.
RESPONSIBILITIES
This role will report to the Head of Consumer brand and will assist in developing the overall brand marketing strategy for Amazon Prime Video and will ensure all content is on brand – consistent in terms of style, quality, and tone of voice for all channels. Key responsibilities include:
• Strategize and execute integrated marketing campaigns for the Prime Video brand across all video products and originals.
• Effectively communicate the Amazon Prime Video brand through all stages of the customer journey.
• Drive awareness and develop brand affinity with Prime Video.
• Drive long view brand expansion opportunities for key timeframes with key KPI's and insights.
• Influence and manage internal stakeholders across all functions to deliver quality, impactful consumer-facing campaigns globally.
• Manage overall marketing & communications budget for consumer brand efforts.
• Act as a strategic thought partner for various internal stakeholders from a global marketing campaign perspective.
• Negotiate and manage strategic partnerships with talent that drive growth and engagement.
• Continually research and strategize new technology and concepts.
• Monitor and analyze campaign performance for learning opportunities.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 8-10 years of relevant brand management experience with a major brand, marketing agency, or digital/high-technology company
• Experience with creative development and media planning
• An understanding of marketing principles and communication tactics including various forms of digital/social, out-of-home, grassroots, TV/radio, and alternative marketing
• Ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders and third-party agencies
• Positive can-do attitude with strong initiative and follow through
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities and excel in a lean work environment
• Bachelor's degree is required in business, marketing, or related fields
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• MBA Preferred
• Traditional brand management experience with a large consumer brand
• Relevant marketing experience within entertainment or media industries
• Exceptional verbal and written communications skills and attention to detail
• Willingness to work hard and roll up sleeves to get work done, even when at times it is outside job scope
