Amazon Studios launched in 2010 as a new way to develop feature films and episodic series-one that's open to great ideas from creators and audiences around the world. Anyone can upload a script online for Amazon Studios to review, and those who choose to make their projects public can also receive feedback from the Amazon Studios community.
Amazon Studios Original Content is available to Prime members and is known for bringing customers the Golden Globe-winning and Emmy-winning series Transparent and Mozart in the Jungle along with original hits like The Man in the High Castle, The New Yorker Presents, Red Oaks, Hand of God, Bosch, and Catastrophe . Prime members also have access to a collection of Amazon Original series for kids such as Gortimer Gibbon's Life on Normal Street, Wishenpoof, Just Add Magic, and the Annecy, Annie, and multi-Emmy Award-winning Tumble Leaf. Amazon Studios' first original movie, Spike Lee's Chi-Raq, premiered in theatres in 2015, with more coming soon.

Amazon Studios is seeking a talented Sr. Art Director/Creative Lead skilled at merging marketing objectives and design strategy into compelling series launch campaigns. This position and will conceptualize and direct marketing campaigns including print, out-of-home, and digital assets for Amazon Original Series.
• Work with a team to manage and guide the creative process for series launch campaigns from concept to completion.
• Work with design agencies to conceptualize and develop award-winning key art, OOH, digital and full 360 launch campaigns.
• Hands on ability for sketching/design/production/mechanicals/press checks.
• Provide art direction at photo shoots.
• Coordinate with the Marketing teams to ensure deliverables are on time and map to the creative brief. Proactively suggest and implement solutions to issues that may impact quality or timing of deliverables.
• Persuasively present creative work and communicate rationale to Executives.
• Approximately 50% hands on projects and 50% guiding agencies and managing a creative team.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Ability to incorporate strategic thinking, communication and problem-solving into design solutions.
• Must be adept with all creative platforms: digital, video print, social, etc.
• Experience should extend beyond print design. Candidate should be able to demonstrate a real understanding of digital, mobile and UI design best practices as it relates to asset creation.
• Comfort level communicating creative strategy and presenting work to upper level management.
• An understanding of how to balance multiple ongoing projects, prioritize workflow and deliver projects on time and on budget.
• Ability to implement strategic direction from concept to finish
• A sophisticated, eye for design including intelligently executed layouts, refined use of typography and incorporation of an appropriate photographic style.
• The ability to define and create brand standards that will produce design consistency across multiple pieces, projects and platforms.
• Experience art directing photo shoots.
• Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
• Excellent written/verbal communication skills

• 10 years experience with design, art/creative direction in entertainment media/marketing.

• Ability to effectively and efficiently manage a significant budget.
