Amazon Studios Original Content is available to Prime members and is known for bringing customers the Golden Globe-winning and Oscar-nominated films Manchester by the Sea and The Salesman, alongside the Golden Globe-winning and Emmy-winning series Transparent and Mozart in the Jungle. Prime members also have access to a collection of Amazon Original series for kids and an extensive library of Amazon feature films.
The Senior Theatrical Distribution Manager will report to the Head of Marketing and Distribution and be responsible for working across all stages of the domestic theatrical distribution, sales and collections processes. In this role your responsibilities include:
Responsibilities
• Participating in strategic planning around title windowing and dating of theatrical releases
• Leading development and execution of theatrical distribution plan for all titles
• Maintaining and developing relationships with major and independent exhibitors
• Securing bookings and manage specific strategies for each exhibition circuit
• Work with all stakeholders regarding current theatrical windowing trends and policies
• Settling film rental splits with exhibitors and oversee collections
• Working with finance on collections systems and software integration
• Overseeing fulfillment of bookings
• Securing in-theater marketing - trailer/poster placements
• People management
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Long term and deep relationships with all levels of major exhibition companies
• Knowledge of current box office and film rental deals and trends in the industry
• Proven ability to clearly and concisely convey information, ideas, and policies
• Experience with building financial models and the ability to accurately draw recommendations from large amounts of data
• Ability to interact effectively and professionally with Amazon executives at all levels, as well as outside producers, agents and distribution partners
• Excellent analytical skills and proven ability to use data to make decisions
• Ability to interpret and audit legal documents
• Ability to understand business levers and tradeoffs to move quickly and negotiate mutually beneficial agreements
• A record of high achievement in the theatrical distribution marketplace
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• 7-10 years relevant professional experience in theatrical film marketing with a strong online/digital and social media background.
• Experience in TDS theatrical software
