Full Time Job
The Amazon Originals Marketing team is seeking an experienced Sr. Writer / Producer with a proven ability to write, produce and conceptualize high impact trailers, spots and other creative video and digital content for our Original Series marketing campaigns, specifically focusing on unscripted programming. We're looking for a highly creative, strategic thinker to work on their own as well as direct outside agencies/production companies and manage all aspects of a campaign from concept through final delivery, ensuring that all elements conform to the brand.
Responsibilities
• Produce and deliver promotional materials, including; Series launch promotions; Episodic promotions; Behind-the-scenes content and vignettes; Brand spots; Guide and direct project coordinators, video editors, sound editors, announcer talent and other creative elements involved in producing creative assets.
• Ability to think strategically and understand the ''big picture'' of a particular project/campaign, and the needs of all the stakeholders globally.
• Write and/or evaluate scripts and marketing copy.
• Work closely and collaboratively with a variety of team members that includes brand managers, art directors, project coordinators, show runners, talent and other relevant stakeholders.
• Supervise and direct projects with outside creative agencies and production companies.
• Organize, supervise and execute projects from concept through delivery.
• Commitment to delivering projects on time, on budget and on brand.
• Capable of developing innovative ideas that meet marketing objective.
• Familiarity with social media and digital platforms.
• Manage editorial, graphic production, music composition, and sound design.
• Assist with various managerial and administrative duties.
Qualifications
• Minimum 7 years experience in film or TV preferably at a cable or broadcast network, ideally working on unscripted-based programming.
• Strong creative writing for marketing and promotion, with highly developed conceptual and producing skills.
• Must possess a strong creative perspective and an impressive reel that demonstrates a range of creative executions and a clear sense of style.
• Ability to understand brand strategy and be able to implement that strategy with innovative creative executions.
• Candidate must possess administrative skills to meet the demands of a fast-paced and challenging position.
• Must have experience working with program scripts and raw dailies in creating promotional spots.
• A deep understanding of entertainment marketing is critical, with a thorough, working knowledge of the television marketing/promotions industry, including a robust understanding of the production and post-production processes for both marketing and TV series.
• Excellent verbal, written communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, as well as good interpersonal skills are required.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, leadership skills, and strong analytical skills. Must be able to distill broad creative concepts into an abbreviated and effective promotional approach.
• Knowledge of graphics and editorial systems is critical.
Preferred Qualifications
• Ability to rough cut projects on Avid, Final Cut, Premiere is a plus but not essential.
