Full Time Job
This person will report directly to AOM Head of Physical Production, and will work closely with the other AOM physical production executives, post-production executives and the movies' line producers and accountants. This person will be the main conduit between AOM physical production and the studio finance team. Looking for someone who loves investing him/herself into making the best movie possible with the resources available.
- Oversee the creation of production budgets pre-greenlight in order to reflect accurate budget estimates.
- Work closely with the creative team during development so that they have accurate ballpark estimates for the films they are developing for the production slate.
- Liase between the AOM Finance Dept., the AOM Physical Production Dept. and the production accounting teams to maintain accurate and current financial reporting for Amazon Corporate as well as maintaining transparency for AOM regarding the day-to-day spending status of each production from prep through post.
- Maintain up-to-date reference materials regarding tax credit opportunities both domestically and abroad and evaluate and recommend best options for our productions in during development and prep.
- Stay current on union and guild rates and fringes both domestically and abroad.
- Develop systems to maximize production value and minimize waste.
- Develop and nurture relationships with Film Commissions and Tax authorities both domestically and abroad.
- Develop and nurture partnerships with production service companies abroad.
- Develop and nurture relationships with production and accounting talent for our movies.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
5 years working in Studio Production Finance, Production Accounting, or Production Management.
We're looking for someone who has both physical production experience as well as accounting/finance experience. While this role is weighted toward the financial aspects of production, we understand that every creative decision is a financial decision and are looking for someone who appreciates that nuance.
A team player who is an inventive problem solver.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Proficient in Movie Magic Budgeting and Scheduling, Global Vista and Ease software.
Accounting experience is a plus.
Production Management experience is a plus.
